The First Annual Andrew “Stitches” Gelston Graham Charitable Foundation(AGGCF) Hat Tournament has been announced! It will be on Saturday June, 11th 2011 from 9am to 4pm. Mark your calenders! It will be held at Willow Creek Park in Englewood, Colorado. Players from Mamabird and Kail are attending so this will be one competitive hat tournament, however players of all skill levels are encouraged to participate. You can register early and reserve your spot and save $7 from tournament day registration. Water, bananas, and other energy snacks will be provided along with some other choice CU schwag.
All proceeds will go to the AGGCF which educates and supports families affected by youth violence.

Mamabird will be hosting the second annual Colorado Fall Classic December 4th and 5th. Last year we had 10 open teams from the greater Denver/Boulder area and this year would love to get the same thing set up. It would be great if we could expand the tournament depending on interest but due to field availability we may not be able to go past 12 or 14 teams. As many of you know, Andrew “Stitches” Graham – a former Mamabird
player – was killed in November while walking home from the train
station. Those of you who played with Stitches know that he was a
unique and kind spirit. We have dedicated this collegiate season to
his memory.
The team would like to help Andrew’s mom, Cyndi, attend Collegiate
Nationals this year. We are asking this year’s team and Mamabird
alumni to contribute to this effort. Any amount is appreciated.
If you are interested in participating, please email Marty Freeman
(freemamd@colorado.edu) with your pledge, and we will organize a way
to collect your donation. As time is short, we are asking you to
respond as soon as possible.

Mamabird finishes 2nd in the nation, loosing 15-11 in finals to Carleton. Results here, details on games here.
Thanks to all the parents for dinner and all their support. A big thanks to coach Catt for the breffast. Most of all, thank you to coach Jim for all the hours he put in this season with us.
